Account Deletion Process
We understand that you may want to delete your PicToPlate account. To ensure a smooth and secure account deletion process, we have established specific requirements that must be met before your account can be permanently deleted.
Prerequisites for Account Deletion
Important: Before your account can be deleted, you must first unsubscribe from the PicToPlate application.
1. Unsubscribe from the Application
To protect your subscription and ensure you're not charged for services you no longer want, you must first unsubscribe from PicToPlate through one of the following methods:
Through the App
- Open the PicToPlate app
- Go to your Profile/Settings
- Navigate to Subscription Management
- Cancel your subscription
Through App Store
- Open your device's Settings
- Tap on your Apple ID/Google Account
- Go to Subscriptions
- Find PicToPlate and cancel
2. Account Deletion Request
Once you have successfully unsubscribed, you can request account deletion by following these steps:
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open the PicToPlate App: Launch the application on your device
- Navigate to Profile: Tap on the profile icon or settings menu
- Find Account Settings: Look for "Account Settings" or "Privacy & Security"
- Select Delete Account: Choose the "Delete Account" option
- Confirm Deletion: Read the confirmation message and tap "Delete" to proceed

What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Immediate Effects
- Your account will be deactivated immediately
- You will lose access to all saved recipes and preferences
- Your profile information will be removed from our active databases
- You will no longer receive notifications or emails from PicToPlate
Data Retention
While your account will be deactivated immediately, some data may be retained for a limited period for legal and security purposes:
- Transaction records (for tax and legal compliance)
- Log data (for security and fraud prevention)
- Analytics data (in anonymized form)
